I'm a journalist and filmmaker from North Yorkshire living in Brighton, UK. I spend my time writing, making films, researching, lecturing at universities and leading workshops. I currently work as the Editorial Manager for The Night League.

My directorial debut is the feature length Right Here, Right Now documentary which is now on Sky Documentaries. I've also worked with VICE, Huck, The Independent, The Guardian, Kerrang, The Face and others.

My interests lie in music, subcultures, activism and social histories. I've also explored other areas that include LGBTQIA+ issues, science, psychology and religion. I've dived into quantum physics, esoteric religions, underground music scenes, political protest camps and everything in between.

Outside of journalism I've worked with teenagers and young adutls all over the UK. With charities and in schools, my focus has been largely around creativity, resilience, emotional intelligence and mindfulness. Likewise, in higher education I lectured at BIMM University in Brighton on the Music, Marketing, Media & Communication course throughout 2023 and 2024.

In Brighton, I run a monthly night called Sound Affects. It's a night of talks about music, sound and subcultures. First Wednesday of the month. Building on that, I also run salons, host Q&As and deliver talks at festival, including Doc N Roll Film Festival, Boomtown and Desertfest London.
